This is my second sketch book which I finished during my last two years at Engineering. The tiltle is 'Kash-m-kash'. Signed my 'takhallas' ..the 'anjaana'. Sumran jot Singh 'anjaana'.

The Unquenchable Kashish-- Book One...

This is my first sketch book which I started in my college days. I signed those sketches with my 'takhallas' .."anjaana" or the 'stranger'.
The central idea of all the sketches in this book was to capture the 'kashish' in the eyes...the unquenchable Kashish(Passion)..

" Look into my Eyes..."

Here, I tried to sketch 'Rekha' , the enigmatic actress. Least to say, you dare look into those seductive eyes.


The jewel laden bridal attire added to the mystery behind her look, something hidden , something revealed. I designed the Saree myself , giving it random patterns...

"Tell me the Truth..."

I tried to give it a rustic, ethnic , contemporary design...letting the eyes ask you a question..."tell me the truth.."

The Wait..

" Roz akeli aye ,
Roz akeli jaye,
........Chand Katora liye....
...........bikhere raat ..."

And the wait continues....

" May be..."

This is a clean stare, an empty vastness in those eyes, deep, serene, restrained. May be.

"Khushboo....."

"The fragrance of the flower,
the clouds that shower...."

'Jhuki Jhuki Si Nazar."

One of my favourites ....those eyes looking down, pure passion subtly told.

" रात की हथेली पर...चाँद जगमताता है ...
उसकी नरम किरणों में....तुमको देखता हूँ तोह .....दिल ठहर सा जाता है। "

Great sketches. Great Art. I mean I had seen your work earlier too and had admired them too. But seeing them all over again was truly an amazing experience. I don't find that it needed any more perfection than it already had. Great work once again.
My wife pays you her compliment too. She's just seen the sketches and was blown by it. She thought at first that the sketches were by a professional !! Anyway she is taunting me now by saying that what talent do I have ?? Rough times ahead for me !!!!!!
